About Us

The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development is a premier organization of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, engaged in training, consultancy, research, etc. in order to promote entrepreneurship and Skill Development. The major activities of the Institute include Training of Trainers, Management Development Programmes, Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programmes, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and Cluster Intervention.



BC Certification Program - Basic/Advanced

Based on the recommendations of IBA, it has now been decided that there will be two levels of certifications of the BCs namely:

(a) Basic Certification: This certification is to be undertaken by the BCs who handle only basic transactions like deposit, payment transitions, cash-in cash-out, remittances, etc. The basic certification will also be applicable to the BCs of the Payments Banks.


(b) Advance Certifications: This certification is to be undertaken by BCs who will be action as full-fledged BCs/ managing CSPs covering all the activities as prescribed by the regulator.

The BC candidates will be required to pass the examination in three attempts within a period of nine months from the date of completion of training. Candidates not able to pass examination within the stipulated time, shall be required to re-enroll themselves for the BC training. After satisfactorily completing the training, they can enroll a fresh for the examination.


Basic certification is not mandatory for the advance certification.
