NIESBUD offer the services for setting up of Entrepreneurship Development Institutes in any of the foreign countries and the details of components of expenditure (as on 2010 prices and it is likely to vary as per the local condition prevailing in the country of operation) have been detailed in the following paragraph:
(B)Offer of Consultancy Services for setting up Entrepreneurship Development Institute:
The Location : The proposed Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) could be established at any of the central locations which is easily accessible to all the nations in the region.
Role of the Institute : The proposed Institute may function as an apex umbrella organization for co-ordinating and directing the activities of the other centres as may be functioning in different countries. The Institute may also conduct those training activities directly especially pertaining to trainers and promoters which are generally not conducted by other Centres.
Land Area : The Institute may be set-up in a central location in the identified county on a land measuring about 12000 to 16000 square meters.
The Establishment Strength at the Proposed Institute : The Institute will have total staff strength of 30 including the Chief Executive and atleast five senior faculty members holding specialization in different areas. The balance staff strength will consist of middle level faculty, executives and members of support staff.
Facilities at the Proposed Institute : The proposed Institute will have 9 Conference Halls – 4 with a capacity of 40 each and 4 with a capacity of 30 each and a Hall for housing large gathering for 100 plus, office spaces for the chief executive and other staff, library, dining room, re-creation room and residential quarter for minimum number of staff which will be stationed at the Institute itself, Computer Lab with internet/broadband facilities, Lab. for other common vocations as may be prevalent in different countries.
Building : While the building may be constructed in light of the existing assessed requirements, it should have enough provision for constructing hostel block at a later date. The illustrative list of the equipment required at the proposed Institute as given in the successding point has been formulated on the presumption that the items like electrical fittings, electrical, drinking water facilities, generator set, fixed items of furniture/fixtures (table and chairs), office equipment, (photostate machine, fax machine, almirah, filing racks) etc. will be inbuilt in the construction estimate.
